CLEVELAND -- For a season that was all about peaking in the playoffs, the Cleveland Indians' postseason run lasted just three games.

The Houston Astros completed their three-game sweep of the Tribe on Monday afternoon with an 11-3 victory in Game 3 of the American League Division Series. For the second straight contest, Cleveland jumped out to an early one-run lead, but was unable to contain the Astros' potent offense with Houston totaling three runs in the seventh inning and six more in the eighth. Astros center fielder George Springer hit two home runs, with Trevor Bauer picking up the loss for Cleveland.

For the third straight game, the Indians' offense remained impotent, with Cleveland managing just seven hits on Monday and 13 total for the series.

With that, the three-time defending American League Central champions' season came to an end, as the longest World Series drought in baseball remains intact.
