Game 3 preview

The Cleveland Cavaliers are hosting the Boston Celtics on Saturday night with the series all tied up 1-1 following a shocking blowout from the Wine and Gold in Game 2.

While Donovan Mitchell led the team on Thursday night with 29 points, he was followed by teammates who also came to his aid and showed off their scoring capabilities. The overall teamwork will need to continue, as the Cavaliers looked like a well-balanced team in Game 2, with six players scoring in double digits.

Following recent criticisms for his poor offensive performances, Evan Mobley proved that he can be a dominant playmaker on the court, grabbing 10 rebounds and 21 points in the win.

In order to come out victorious once again, the Cavaliers will need to continue their lockdown defense, which prevented the Celtics from making 3-pointers in Game 2. The Celtics were ice cold from beyond the arc, shooting a mere 22.9% compared to 46.4% from the Cavs.

In addition, the Cavs will need to continue using their bench to help impact this series. Throughout the playoffs, the Cavs' bench has struggled, but in Game 2, Caris Levert took on the role of the sixth man and scored 21 points.

The team also is still awaiting the return of Jarrett Allen, who has missed the past five games due to a rib injury. However, the Cavaliers will have to wait yet again for Allen's return.

There is no doubt that Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse will be rocking on Saturday night as the team looks to take a series lead over the No. 1 Celtics.
