CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Cavaliers will unveil a new court inside Quicken Loans Arena for the 2016-2017 season, but fans can get a sneak peek of it before opening night.

The Cavaliers will give fans a preview of the new court at the annual Wine & Gold Scrimmage this Sunday night, October 2nd, and the unveiling will take place at the Opening Night Championship Celebration against the New York Knicks on October 25th.

According to the release announcing the court changes, the Cavaliers’ new home floor will be made of maple hardwood with a light stain framed by a black perimeter, a nod to the team’s black uniforms worn in Games 5 and 7 of the NBA Finals, which Cleveland won over the Golden State Warriors on the way to clinching its first-ever league championship.

The Cavaliers’ “C” logo will remain at center court, and will be shadowed by navy blue block and outlined in gold. A sword will cut through the center of the “C” logo.

Along the baselines, the words “Cleveland Cavaliers” will be featured. The familiar “Quicken Loans Arena” sponsorship will be on display on each side of center court with the sideline in front of the benches will feature the team’s website, Cavs.com, and Twitter handle, @Cavs.

The “All For One. One for All” motto will remain at center court on the West sideline and again include the names of the season-ticket holders that comprise Wine and Gold United.

The Cavaliers’ graphics team created the design, and Robbins Portable Floors in Cincinnati built the court, which is composed of 210 four-foot by eight-foot sections, and 15 four-foot by four-foot pieces that take about an hour to assemble.
