Mickayla Perdue scores 27 points, Cleveland State pulls away to beat Oakland 78-63

The Vikings played their annual Health + Hoops game in front of more than 3,300 fans at the Wolstein Center.

CLEVELAND — Before a large crowd of more than 3,300 at the Wolstein Center, Cleveland State won its fourth straight game Thursday afternoon, 78-63 over Oakland.

The Vikings were hosting their annual Health + Hoops game, marking the occasion by wearing special pink uniforms. CSU's lead was trimmed to just two late in the third quarter before the conference leaders managed to pull away.

Mickayla Perdue scored a game-high 27 points and was a perfect 3 of 3 from 3-point range in the fourth quarter. Sara Guerreiro added 16 points and Jordana Reisma scored 15 and added 10 rebounds for the Vikes (22-4, 13-2 Horizon League), who have won 20 in a row at home dating back to last season.

Oakland (10-14, 6-10) shot just 35.9% from the field compared to CSU's 50.9%. Linda Van Schaik led the Golden Grizzlies with 18 points.

Cleveland State will next battle Milwaukee this Saturday afternoon in the final leg of a four-game homestand.
