According to ESPN's NFL reporter Jeremy Fowler, Hunt underwent sports hernia surgery to repair a ruptured adductor.

Throughout the majority of the season, Hunt was on the injury report for a groin injury, but continued to play through it and step up, aiding the Browns' run game.

The 28-year-old Willoughby native re-signed with the Browns after Nick Chubb suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 2.  Hunt finished the 2023-24 season with 10 rushing touchdowns and 437 rushing yards.

Prior to re-signing with the team, Hunt spent 2019-2022 with the Browns. During his rookie season with the Kansas City Chiefs, Hunt won the rushing yards title for the 2017 season.

Hunt's future with the Browns remains unknown at this time as he is set to become a free agent in March.
