'We crowned this team as a contender before they deserved it.' Dave Chudowsky on Cleveland Browns after loss to Seattle Seahawks

'I just think the hype machine coming into the season was too much.'

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns now have four losses this season after dropping Sunday’s game to the Seattle Seahawks 32-28.

Dave Chudowsky of 3News offered his thoughts Monday morning after watching this latest loss unfold. Here’s what he had to say:

How should you feel today? I say conflicted. I just think the hype machine coming into the season was too much. We crowned this team as a contender before they deserved it. They have to prove that they belong with the best teams like Seattle.

On the positive side, they’re not 0-5 or 1-4 and have zero hope. They are entertaining to watch and they are competitive, so that’s good. Now, they have to sit and think about this for two weeks before going to New England. Who do you take in that one? Belichick or Kitchens? I think you know the answer. Not to say Kitchens can’t be the guy, but right now he’s not the guy.

The Browns have a week off before hitting the road to face the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 27. Kickoff for that game is slated for 4:25 p.m.
