'Next season you get the title': United Airlines ad featuring actor Kyle Chandler urges Cleveland Browns fans to book flights for Super Bowl LIX

Emmy award-winning actor Kyle Chandler is telling Cleveland Browns fans to book their flight for Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.

CLEVELAND — While the Cleveland Browns may not be in this year's Super Bowl, Emmy award-winning actor Kyle Chandler is telling fans to book their flights for Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.

On Tuesday, United Airlines released an ad that is set to run in Northeast Ohio during the Super Bowl. The ad features Chandler, who is best known for his role as head coach Eric Taylor in Friday Night Lights.

Speaking to Browns fans, Chandler says, "Cleveland, I know you’re watching other peoples’ teams play today, but this season, you got everyone’s attention. The grit, the wins, the defense. Next season, you get the title. Finally."

Chandler proceeds to encourage Browns fans to book their flights to New Orleans, Louisiana before the 2024 NFL season gets underway in August.

"Browns fans, this is about believing. Believing so hard that you book your flight to next year’s big game before the season even starts -- because believing that hard can change everything," said Chandler.

Just in case next season doesn't turn out as hoped for the Browns, United Airlines has a policy that allows customers to change their flights without paying fees.

"This simple policy change has had a dramatic impact on our customers and the overall experience of flying United," said Linda Jojo, United's Chief Customer Officer. "You can book with confidence knowing that even if your – or your teams' – plans change, United has your back."

Additionally, United Airlines will air similar commercials targeting Chiefs fans in Kansas City, Texans fans in Houston, Bears fans in Chicago and Broncos fans in Denver.

"Everyone tuning into the game isn't feeling the same way, in fact, the majority of fans are watching someone else's team play. This presented a unique creative opportunity to make an ad that speaks directly to the cities and fanbases who are already looking ahead to next season. By producing market-specific commercials, we can avoid the sports cliches that are all-too-common this time of year and demonstrate that United is standing with fans of the local team who are already excited about next season," said Maggie Schmerin, United's Chief Advertising Officer.
