GENEVA, Ohio -- USA Wrestling has named SPIRE Institute in Geneva as an official training site for the American wrestling team.

Announced Saturday, SPIRE will provide on-site training facilities and meals for officially sanctioned USA Wrestling training camps.

The $85 million facility is one of the largest indoor sport, training and competition complexes in the world, boasting more than 175 acres of Olympic-grade facilities.

"We are so pleased to have finalized our partnership with USA Wrestling," said SPIRE Founder and CEO Ron Clutter. "Given our region's strong history, and significant ongoing interest in wrestling, we feel that this will be a very positive relationship that will benefit not only USA Wrestling and SPIRE, but our region as a whole. We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with USA Wrestling as part of our overall Olympic program."

No training camp schedule has been announced yet.

The partnership comes almost a year after SPIRE was named an official U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Site.

The United States is one of the premier Olympic wrestling contenders in the world, winning a total of 128 Olympic medals, including 52 Olympic gold medals.
