Travis Kelce shouts out Cleveland while hosting Saturday Night Live; Jason Kelce makes cameo

Kansas City Chiefs tight end and Cleveland Heights native Travis Kelce drew rave reviews for his performance as the host of 'Saturday Night Live.'

NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. — In addition to being one of the NFL's best players, Travis Kelce has emerged as one of the league's most prominent personalities.

And the Cleveland Heights native's wit and charm was on full display on Saturday, as he became one of the few athletes to host "Saturday Night Live."

While Kelce drew rave reviews for his performance on SNL, with some even beginning to speculate about how the 8-time Pro Bowl selection will spend his post-football career, he also managed to sneak in a shoutout for his hometown. As 'SNL' drew to a close, Kelce called attention to Cleveland, as well as the place where he's spent the entirety of his 10-year NFL career, Cincinnati.

"From Kansas City to Cleveland, we love you guys!" Kelce shouted as the show signed off the air.

As you may have noticed, standing next to Travis was his brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce.

As was last month's Super Bowl, SNL was a family affair. Not only were Travis' parents, Donna and Ed Kelce, present in the audience, but so was Jason, who also made a cameo in both Travis' monologue, as well as a skit called "Abby the Ex-Girlfriend."

In the skit, Abby -- who was played by SNL cast member Heidi Gardner -- runs into Travis, who she had previously gone on a date with. But while Abby finds herself sobbing while meeting Travis' new girlfriend, the tables soon turn when her boyfriend -- played by Jason -- shows up.

"Is this guy bothering you? Do you need me to beat him up? Because I definitely could," Jason says, as Travis soon finds himself the one fighting back tears.

Other highlights from Travis' SNL hosting gig include skits in which he played Indiana Jones, a patron at the American Girl Cafe, a self-defense instructor, and a "straight male friend."
