NOACA planning to install 48 electric vehicle charging stations in Northeast Ohio: Here's where they will be located

NOACA plans for the installation of the charging stations to take place in the spring and summer of 2022.

The Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA) is planning for the installation of new electric vehicle charging stations across the area next year and is asking for your comments about its program. 

With its Electric Vehicle Charging Station Program, NOACA is partnering with 40 public agencies to install 48 charging sites across the following five counties: 

  • Cuyahoga
  • Geauga
  • Lake
  • Lorain
  • Medina

Funding for the $3 million program is being provided by NOACA through its federal Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) program, which aims to improve air quality and reduce congestion on the region’s roadways.

NOACA is planning for the installation of the charging stations to take place in the spring and summer of 2022. Once complete, they will be available for use by the general public.
