CLEVELAND — This is the time of year where many of us are itching to get outside. But, it can be hard to enjoy the outdoors when it's littered with trash.
So today, we did our part.
A number of Channel 3 employees teamed up with the Alliance for the Great Lakes for a beach cleanup at Edgewater Park, as part of our #PlanetCLE initiative.
According to the organization, 86% of the trash their volunteers pick up around the Great Lakes are plastic, composed of plastic. In Cleveland, they saw that number reach 96% last year.
