CLEVELAND — The pain at the pump continues throughout the country – including here in Northeast Ohio.

GasBuddy said Cleveland’s average price per gallon is now at $4.14 after rising 10.1 cents in the last week. That’s 75.6 cents higher per gallon than one month ago or $1.54 higher than a year ago.

The cheapest station in Cleveland was priced at $3.86 on Sunday while the most expensive was $4.29. The lowest price in the state, meanwhile, was $3.19 with the highest was $4.99.

Akron’s gas prices are two cents higher than Cleveland, now standing at $4.16 per gallon, which GasBuddy says is up 14.1 cents from last week.

The national average remains unchanged, however, currently averaging $4.23 per gallon. That’s up 62.4 cents from last month and $1.38 higher than one year ago, according to GasBuddy.

“The decline we've seen in average gas prices has been slowing down, as oil prices have held above $100 after declining under that level as recently as a few weeks ago,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.” For the near future, we’ll see a mix of slight decreases and some potential increases mixed in. California markets should finally cool off and areas could even move lower in Southern California, while the Great Lakes could see gas prices jump up after having fallen for the last week or so. While the national average should start to stabilize for the time being, there's no telling what's around the corner, at least for now, as the volatility in oil prices persists."
