A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Cuyahoga and Lorain Counties.
The National Weather Service states a severe thunderstorm was initially located near Vermilion around 4:24 p.m., moving at a speed of roughly 40 miles per hour. Cleveland, Parma, Euclid, Elyria, Lorain, Avon, and Oberlin are among the areas expected to be impacted.
Residents are asked to get to a low level inside their homes. 60-mile-per-hour wind gusts, quarter-sized hail, and downed trees and power lines are all strong possibilities. The Lorain warning is set to expire at 5:30 p.m., followed by Cuyahoga 15 minutes later.
