The Mike Polk Sr., Mike Polk Jr., Bernie Kosar photo reenactment project, 30 years later

With a little help from Jay Crawford, Mike set out to recreate an iconic early '90s photo with his Browns hero Bernie Kosar.

CLEVELAND — The year was 1991. I was in junior high. The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) was dissolving, Bryan Adams' "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You" was topping the charts, and the film "City Slickers" was teaching America how to laugh again (Big City yuppies trying their hands cattle ranching?! Talk about fish out of water!).

But none of that mattered to me. All I cared about was "The 3 Bs": The Browns, Bernie Kosar, and looking good in my Bugle Boy sweater.

It all came together on one beautiful evening and was preserved for posterity with one life-changing image. This is the story of that historic picture and my modern day quest to recapture the magic of that special night.
