The Cleveland Orchestra kicks off the holiday season with Christmas concert

Twelve days before Christmas and The Cleveland Orchestra wants its performance to be on your list

CLEVELAND — It's a local tradition with national recognition.

The Cleveland Orchestra's annual series of Christmas Concerts began on Friday night at Severance Hall.

The concerts will feature popular holiday classics like O Come All Ye Faithful, Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, and Silent Night.

Conducted by Richard Kaufman, the orchestra will perform from December 13 through December 22.

Christmas concerts are expected to sell out, so purchasing tickets early is encouraged.
