Cedar Point looking to hire for 7,000 seasonal jobs: Pay ranges from $13 to $17 per hour

Cedar Point opens for the 2024 season on May 4 as the Sandusky amusement park debuts its new Top Thrill 2 roller coaster.

SANDUSKY, Ohio — Cedar Point has announced plans to hire 7,000 seasonal associates in preparation for the 2024 season with a variety of jobs available, including ride operators, lifeguards, security, hotels, maintenance, food services and more.

Cedar Point says the hourly pay ranges from $13 to $17 “based on experience, prior service and position.”

Interested in a job at the park? Cedar Point anticipates they will fill a majority of the open positions during a week-long “hiring blitz,” which will be held from Feb. 17-24. 

Throughout that week, Cedar Point will host in-person job fairs at the Cedar Point Recruiting Center at 2210 1st Street in Sandusky from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

“Interested candidates will have the ability to apply, interview and get hired the same day,” according to Cedar Point.

“Cedar Point offers competitive wages and benefits, along with many perks for its associates, including discounts, reward and recognition programs, exclusive associate-only events, ride nights, on-site housing for those who qualify and free admission to any Cedar Fair park,” according to a press release from the park.

Cedar Point opens for the 2024 season on Saturday, May 4. The new attraction this year is Top Thrill 2, which takes riders on a triple-launch roller coaster experience at speeds of 120 mph and heights of 420 feet.
