BEACHWOOD, Ohio — For more than a decade, World of Dance has been highlighting the best dancers from around the world. But before they hit the big stage, they must first audition.
On Sunday, World of Dance will bring its Golden Ticket Audition Series to Northeast Ohio.
Shaker Dance Performing Arts Academy will host the official World of Dance judges and studios from surrounding areas as part of the series. The organization is expecting nearly a dozen teams to show up and give their all for a chance to go home with a coveted golden ticket.
The golden ticket winners will automatically be invited to the World of Dance Championship week in Hollywood, California.
Shaker Dance Academy is owned and operated by Jonathan and Tracy Webb, a husband-and-wife duo who met while pursuing their own professional dance careers. In the early 2000s, after seeing so many young girls sitting idle at their son’s football and basketball games, they decide to open a studio right here in Northeast Ohio.
