CLEVELAND — Like all of us on the 3News digital team, Ben Axelrod wears a lot of hats. He's a digital sports reporter, a producer, and a host. He's also an accomplished author and a social media superstar!
However, there's a new title we can add to Ben's list of accolades, and it's the most important one yet...Dad.
On Friday, Ben and his wife Torey welcomed a baby son to the world. Sonny Michael Axelrod was born at 2:12 p.m. In Ben's words, "Sonny weighs 7 pounds, 8 ounces, is 20 1/2 inches long and has a ton of hair. Mommy and baby are doing great. Dad is still in shock.”

This has been a truly remarkable month for our digital team. Earlier in August, our digital executive producer Ryan Haidet and his wife Leah welcomed a baby girl named Dylan.
