Celebrate National Tattoo Day by showing us your ink

It's #NationalTattooDay and we want to see your best work.

CLEVELAND — July 17 has been designated National Tattoo Day, with photos of incredible pieces of body art flooding the internet.

People are showing off amazing tattoos from talented artists from all over the word, using the #NationalTattooDay.

In honor of the day, check out these images of beautiful work shared online:

Even the Red Cross is getting in on celebrating National Tattoo Day, by reminding people that in most states, you can donate blood on the same day that get a tattoo.

Massillon-based Redtail Tattoo artist Jason Haney confirmed to 3News that holds true in Ohio, so long as you got your tattoo from a state-registered tattoo shop.

He said you may be required to show proof that your artist works at a registered facility, and your tattoo shop should be able to provide that for you.

Whether you're getting inked for the first time today, or have a whole back piece and sleeve you've been working on for years, we want to see your ink.

Show us your tats by commenting on the Facebook post for this story, or use the hashtags #3tattoos along with your post on other social media platforms.
