National drugstore chain Rite Aid is doing its part to ensure the COVID-19 vaccine is available to those that want it.

On Friday, Rite Aid announced that is will offer the vaccine at all of its more than 2,500 locations across 17 states.

Additionally, all of the locations will be accommodating walk-in appointments. However, the drugstore recommends scheduling an appointment to eliminate wait time and ensure vaccine availability.

"The availability of vaccines in every Rite Aid location is a major milestone in our ongoing effort to fight COVID-19. We've been on the front lines since the beginning of the pandemic, working across our store footprint to bring testing and vaccines directly to local communities," said Jim Peters, chief operating officer, Rite Aid.

The vaccine is available to anyone 16 years of age or older. Those ages 16 and 17 can schedule an appointment with guardian consent at any store administering the Pfizer vaccine by contacting the store's pharmacy directly.
