SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio — University Hospitals announced plans Friday to open one new urgent care and relocate another at the end of this month.

Here’s where you will find the new UH urgent care locations:

UH Urgent Care Streetsboro: 9449 Route 14

Opening Monday, Jan. 29.

UH says its urgent care operations will relocate from the UH Streetsboro Health Center to this new spot.

“The new location is in the heart of Streetsboro on a highly traveled road, near the corner of Market Square Drive and Route 14, just northwest of McDonald’s,” UH officials said in a press release. “The move was planned to increase convenient access to high-quality healthcare services for Streetsboro and surrounding area residents.”

UH Urgent Care Shaker Heights: 16601 Chagrin Boulevard

Opening Thursday, Feb. 1.

“This new location is adjacent to a popular shopping center at the corner of Chagrin Boulevard and Lee Road in front of Heinen’s Grocery Store, making access to quality healthcare more convenient than ever for surrounding area residents,” according to UH.

Echoing a similar announcement with new urgent care location back in October, UH says these “new locations are part of the larger plan to deliver health care closer to where patients live, shop and work.”

“The new facilities will be equipped with advanced medical technology and staffed by experienced healthcare professionals dedicated to providing compassionate, efficient and personalized care to patients of all ages,” UH said.

All UH urgent care facilities – including the new locations – are open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. seven days a week (special hours on some holidays).

"Our primary goal is to reimagine urgent care for Northeast Ohio by removing obstacles and easing access to care while delivering exceptional patient experiences,” said UH Urgent Care President Dr. Lee Resnick. “The expansion of UH Urgent Care in Northeast Ohio is a significant step towards fulfilling this commitment. By increasing access to urgent care services, we aim to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families throughout the region, providing them with the prompt and effective care they deserve in retail locations where they live, shop and work.
