"Officers later determined that an unknown suspect gained entry and stole an undisclosed amount of money and property from the business," the Akron Police Department said in a news release.

Police collected evidence from the scene and are working to identify the "suspect or suspects" who committed the robbery.

The news comes a day after Akron police announced they are trying to identify a suspect in a burglary that occurred at a beauty store about seven miles away from the Napa Auto Parts early Tuesday morning. Akron PD Capt. Michael A. Miller told 3News that there is no indication that the two robberies are related.

Police asked anyone who may have information on the robbery to call the department's Detective Bureau at 330-375-2490. Tips can also be sent via text message by texting TIPSCO to 274637 or by contacting the Summit County Crimestoppers at 330-434-COPS.
