ASHTABULA COUNTY, Ohio — Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers were called to investigate a motorcycle crash on Sunday, May 21, just before 8 p.m. on State Route 45 near Shaffer Road in Morgan Township.
When troopers arrived, they found that a motorcyclist had struck a guardrail.
Troopers say Cody M. Norris, 27, of Warren, Ohio was operating a 2017 Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound on State Route 45. Norris traveled off the right side of the road, overturned and was ejected from the motorcycle, striking a guardrail.
Norris was flown to Cleveland Metro Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
State Route 45 was restricted to one lane in the area of the crash for investigation. Troopers report that Norris was not wearing a helmet. The crash is under investigation.
