Cleveland firefighters save 2 adults, 4-day-old baby from house fire

The three family members were trapped in a second-floor bedroom.

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Fire Department's 5th Battalion responded to a fire on Dove Ave. early Monday morning after several reports were called in. 

Cleveland Fire told 3News that callers said several family members were trapped on the second floor of the home and were unable to escape. 

Crews arrived on the scene to heavy smoke, and immediately placed a ladder to the second-floor-bedroom. 

The 5th Batallion was able to rescue all three individuals, including a 21-year-old female, a 29-year-old male, and a four-day-old male. 

The fire, which broke out around 1:00 a.m., is believed to have originated from the kitchen.
