2 hurt in Cleveland shooting at Frozen Daiquiri Bar: Police share details

While patrolling a parking lot, police reportedly heard gunshots from inside an establishment on Bolivar Road.

CLEVELAND — Two people were hurt in an overnight Cleveland shooting at the Frozen Daiquiri Bar & Restaurant in the 700 block of Bolivar Road.

It was around 12:30 a.m. Monday when Cleveland police were conducting patrols amid an alleged “large number of parking violators,” which authorities say were attributed to the high volume of patrons.

While patrolling the lot, police reportedly heard gunshots from inside the establishment.

Officers then found a 25-year-old man had been shot in the leg. He was given first aid at the scene and then taken to a hospital for treatment.

“As the investigation progressed, officers discovered that a second individual had self-transported to the hospital with a grazed gunshot wound,” according to Cleveland police.

That second victim is 31 years old.

Anybody with information is asked to call the Third District Detective Bureau at 216-623-5318.
