Registration is now open for the 2023 VeloSano Bike to Cure ride.

CLEVELAND — VeloSano Bike to Cure announced that its 2023 ride will take place on Sept. 8 and 9, with registration for the event now open.

Those interested in participating in the event, in which 100 percent of dollars raised supports lifesaving cancer research, can do so by signing up at velosano.org.

According to a release, $37 million has been raised for VeloSano since the event's inception in 2014. The annual event is considered "a global fundraising movement for hope and action, created to swiftly enable the cancer treatments of today and the cures of tomorrow through innovative, transformative research happening at Cleveland Clinic locations around the world."

This year's VeloSano schedule includes:

Friday, Sept. 8

A Kickoff Party for the event celebrating togetherness, supporting Living Hope cancer survivors and patients, honoring legacies and cheering the progress being made in cancer research at Cleveland Clinic. The event will take place at Mall B in Downtown Cleveland and will include food, beverages, music and festivities.

Saturday, Sept. 9

Ride day.

Available route distances for this year's race are 25, 50, 75 and 100 miles. Participants can save $25 on registration fees for routes 25 miles or longer by signing up before April 1.

Additionally, participants who register as virtual fundraisers are able to choose their own activity and participate in any way, anytime, and anywhere to fundraise for cancer research at Cleveland Clinic.

The 6-mile-long Guardians City Loop around Downtown Cleveland will be open for two hours and is considered "ideal for families and beginner riders." Those who take the loop will pass city landmarks, in addition to having the opportunity to ride around Progressive Field.
