New brutality lawsuit filed against former Euclid police officer Michael Amiott

New details have emerged about another alleged case of police misconduct in Euclid.

New details have emerged about another alleged case of police misconduct in Euclid.

Attorneys for Erimius Spencer say he was also a victim of excessive force by former Euclid Police Officer Michael Amiott.

Photos of Spencer's injuries are part of a lawsuit filed in Cuyahoga County on Friday.

It details an incident in the hallway of his apartment last December that escalated to Officer Amiott pushing Spencer to the ground and kicking him to the face. The suit says that Officer Amiott and his partner, Officer Shane Rivera, tased Spencer approximately ten times before he was taken to Euclid Hospital.

Amiott was fired in October after video of another violent stop went viral. The video showed Amiott wrestling 25-year-old Richard Hubbard III to the ground and punching him multiple times during a traffic stop.

Calls to Euclid Police have not been returned.
