Video: Dashcam shows moments after car flees police in Parma, causes accident

Two other drivers involved in the accident were transported to MetroHealth Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

CLEVELAND — A man accused of harassing churchgoers in Parma, eluding police, then causing an accident, is now in police custody. 

30-year-old Dalonte Wysinger has been charged with aggravated vehicular assault. 

On Saturday, Wysinger was stopped by a Parma police officer after reports that he was harassing people at a church function and then left driving in a reckless manner. . 

Parma Police says Wysinger initially complied with the officer's requests, but later refused to provide his driver's license. The officer then learned that Wysinger had a misdemeanor warrant out for his arrest. 

The officer asked Wysinger to step out of the car. That's when he again fled the scene at a high rate of speed. The officer returned to his cruiser and dispatched for help.

Wysinger fled the scene to the intersection of Regency Drive and West 54th Street where he caused an accident involving three other cars. 

The two other drivers involved in the accident were transported to MetroHealth Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. 

Wysinger is being help on a $250,000 bond. No futher information is available at this time.
