Lee Fisher, Peggy Zone Fisher to receive award from Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Foundation

The couple will receive the 2021 Richard W. Pogue Award for Excellence in Community Leadership & Engagement on Saturday night.

On Saturday, Lee Fisher and his wife, Peggy Zone Fisher, will be honored by the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Foundation (CMBF) during its 16th Annual Rock the Foundation virtual event. While the award will be presented live at The Music Box Supper Club, the public is invited to watch the "Rock Sweet 16" festivities by clicking here.

The couple will receive the 2021 Richard W. Pogue Award for Excellence in Community Leadership & Engagement, the foundation's highest honor, recognizing them for their leadership in business, politics, law and community service. 

Lee Fisher, currently Dean at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, is a former Ohio Lt. Governor, Ohio Attorney General, state senator and representative. Peggy Zone Fisher is President and CEO of the Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio (DCNEO), after previously serving as president and owner of one of Greater Cleveland’s largest women-owned businesses, Zone Travel, Inc. She also served as one of eleven commissioners on the National Commissioners of the White House Conference on Small Business.

“It has been my distinct honor and pleasure to have known Lee and Peggy for many years. Not only do they have long and distinguished careers as dynamic, impactful community leaders, but they have also engaged and empowered others to make our community more just, diverse, equitable, and inclusive," said CMBF President Carter Strang.
