$5,000 reward offered for information in Stark County arson case

A reward of up to $5,000 is available for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

STARK COUNTY, Ohio — The Ohio State Fire Marshal is looking for the public's help in identifying and capturing the person responsible for a building fire in Stark County.

On April 10 at approximately 1:43 p.m., Plain Township firefighters responded to a building fire located on the 2900 block of Harrisburg Avenue NE. No injuries were reported in the incident.

Upon further inspection with State Fire Marshal investigators, the fire was determined to be the cause of arson.

The Blue Ribbon Arson Committee is offering a reward of $5,000 for anyone with information the leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the fire.

Anyone with information to report is asked to call the State Fire Marshal's tip line at 800-589-2728.
