Cleveland Browns 2020 training camp: Day 4 roundup

The Browns conducted their second straight practice in full pads.

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns were back on the practice field for Day 4 of Training Camp in Berea, it was also the second practice the team conducted in full pads.

PLAYERS WHO DID NOT PRACTICE

The list included RB Nick Chubb (concussion), DE Myles Garrett (hamstring), DT Larry Ogunjobi (groin), WR Damion Ratley (groin) and C JC Tretter (knee).

Nick Chubb has been placed in concussion protocol following a Mack Wilson horsecollar tackle on Monday at practice.

On Tuesday, Wilson actually left practice with a knee injury.

QUOTABLE

Browns tight end David Njoku met with the media for the first time since he and his agent requested a trade and then later said the Miami (Fla.) product was happy in Cleveland.

Here's what Njoku had to say:

“I love the fans. Let me start off by saying that. The Cleveland Browns fans, they are amazing – probably second to none. At the end of the day, this is a business. This is my life, and I choose to do what I do with my life. Now with that being said, I am still here, I am a Cleveland Brown and I am excited to be a Cleveland Brown.”

COACH KEVIN STEFANSKI

The first-year head coach is only four days into his first training camp with the Browns but had this to share on early impressions:

“I think we are early in this. I think we have to get through these four days of contact integration, as the NFL is calling it, before we kind of know what we have. I will tell you, by and large, the work has been good. It is not perfect. It is nowhere near where we want to be, but that is the nature of training camp in the nature of practice.”
