Cleveland Museum of Natural History expert explains Eastlake earthquake

Learn more about the 4.0 quake.

CLEVELAND — Dr. David Saja, curator of minerology at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, discussed the earthquake that occurred in Lake County Monday morning.

A 4.0 earthquake was recorded in Lake Erie off of Eastlake Monday around 10:50 a.m. The quake itself was recorded 2.5 miles off Eastlake, 3.1 miles deep. 

WKYC's Betsy Kling says earthquakes are uncommon for this area.
