Miocic's rematch with Cormier ended in a fourth-round technical knockout Saturday night, despite Miocic's early struggles to find his range. In the fourth round, Miocic zeroed in on Cormier's ribs, taking body shots until he found a window of opportunity to rock Cormier with a shot on the chin, sending Cormier staggering backward.

“I remember him every time I threw a punch, he would put his arms up,” Miocic told WKYC in an exclusive interview after the fight. “He’s got a bigger belly, and it was just a matter of time. I just had to do it, and one time, he tried to angle away, and I actually caught him right in the sternum, right in the solar plexus. That’s when I hurt him real good.”
