Frontier Airlines announces new routes from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport to New York, Minneapolis-St. Paul

Frontier will fly daily from CLE to New York starting in April, plus four times a week to MSP beginning in May.

CLEVELAND — Frontier Airlines continues to spread its wings in Cleveland.

The airline has announced that it will be launching daily nonstop service from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport to New York's LaGuardia Airport starting on April 10, plus nonstop service four days a week to Minneapolis-St. Paul beginning May 17.

Fares for both routes will start as low as $19 one way. To take advantage of the low price, tickets must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 25, 2024. Fares are valid for nonstop travel on Monday through Thursday, and Saturday, through Jun. 5, 2024.

The new routes at CLE are part of an aggressive expansion by Frontier Airlines across 38 airports nationwide.

“This is a massive expansion of our operation from coast to coast and internationally as part of our focus on growing in underserved and overpriced routes,” said Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design for Frontier Airlines. “More destinations and greater frequency means a larger number of consumers will soon be able to enjoy Frontier’s convenient, affordable ‘Low Fares Done Right.’”

Last year, Frontier Airlines announced new nonstop service from Hopkins Airport to Montego Bay, Jamaica. The carrier also plans to expand operations at Cleveland Hopkins with a new crew base this March. The plan is expected to employ up to 110 pilots, 250 flight attendants and 50 aircraft maintenance personnel within the first year.
