Man on motorcycle killed in Canton crash

Police say the driver was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

Woman arrested following fatal car accident

CANTON, Ohio — A 28-year-old man was killed in a crash early Monday morning, Canton Police said in a news release.

The accident happened at around 12:45 a.m. on 15th Street NE and Plain Avenue NE. 

Investigators said a 2021 Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling southbound on Plain Ave. when it struck the passenger side of a 2011 Ford F-150, traveling westbound on 15th St. 

The motorcyclist, 28-year-old Jacob Poole, was ejected from his vehicle. Police say he was not wearing a helmet.

Poole was transported to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

The driver of the F-150 was not hurt and remained on scene. 

Alcohol and drugs are not suspected at this time.

The Canton Metro Crash Team is investigating the accident.
