$2 million winning Powerball lottery ticket sold in Ohio: Here's where the lucky ticket was purchased

The winning numbers for the Saturday night drawing were 30, 36, 49, 52, 63 and Powerball 16.

CLEVELAND — Although nobody won the $521 million Powerball jackpot in the lottery drawing for Saturday, March 9, 2024, two Ohioans brought home some major prize money. 

Ohio Lottery officials say that a $2 million ticket was sold at a CirckleK gas station in Columbus. In Barnesville, an Ohio resident won a $250,000 ticket from A BellStores convenience store.

The lucky numbers from the Saturday night drawing are 30, 36, 49, 52, 63 and Powerball 16. The Power Play option was 5x.

  • $2 million prize: 1 winner 
  • $250,000 prize: 1 winner 
  • $500 prize: 19 winners 
  • $100 prize: 48 winners 
  • $35 prize: 672 winners 
  • $20 prize: 8,184 winners 
  • $7 prize: 1,618 winners 
  • $4 prize: 19,005 winners

The jackpot now grows to an estimated $532 million for the next Powerball drawing, which is set for Monday, March 11 at 10:59 p.m. That prize has a cash option worth $260.1 million.

Powerball lottery officials say the odds of hitting the jackpot are one in 292,201,338.00, which is slightly better than the Mega Millions odds of one in 302,575,350. The odds of hitting a $1 million winning ticket in Powerball, meanwhile, are one in 11,688,053.52.

Northeast Ohio had a big Powerball winner last year when a ticket worth $1 million was sold in Highland Heights on Dec. 30, 2023. A ticket sold at a GetGo in Macedonia hit the jackpot worth $252.6 million during the April 19, 2023 drawing.
